Pediatric Speech Therapy Assistant – Flexible Caseload
About The Position
MedCare Pediatric is seeking a Home Health Pediatric Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide personalized, one-on-one therapy to children in their homes. The role supports children's communication, feeding, and swallowing development in a familiar environment, while building relationships with patients and families. The assistant works under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and receives support from clinical supervisors and administrative staff. Flexible scheduling, a gradual caseload ramp-up, and a collaborative team environment are offered. Full-time caseloads are eligible for a sign-on bonus.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.
- Current Texas Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license, or eligibility to obtain licensure by the anticipated start date.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience is preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Pediatric experience is preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Support treatment plans addressing communication, articulation, language development, feeding, and swallowing needs.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates with supervising SLPs and the care team.
- Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans to support each child's goals.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to promote carryover and progress.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
