Pediatric Speech Therapy Assistant – Flexible Caseload
About The Position
MedCare Pediatric is hiring a Home Health Pediatric Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide personalized, one-on-one therapy to children in their homes. The role supports children in developing communication, feeding, and swallowing skills and involves working with patients and families in the child’s natural environment. The SLPA works under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, with support from clinical supervisors and administrative staff. Flexible scheduling and a collaborative team environment are offered, with full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.
- Current Texas Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license, or eligibility to obtain licensure by the anticipated start date.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Pediatric experience preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Support treatment plans addressing communication, articulation, language development, feeding, and swallowing needs.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates with supervising SLPs and the care team.
- Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans to support each child's goals.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to promote carryover and progress.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
