About The Position
A full-time Speech Language Pathologist is sought for a skilled nursing facility in Waterville, Maine. The role is a direct-hire, permanent placement on a collaborative rehabilitation team, with clinical leadership, mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth. The facility provides rehabilitation services in a supportive team environment, where the SLP will help patients regain independence. The estimated pay rate is approximately $40–$50 per hour, depending on experience, setting, and location. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
- Current Maine SLP license or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong interpersonal and documentation skills.
Nice To Haves
- CCC-SLP is preferred; clinical fellows may be considered when supervision is available.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive-communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Document patient progress using EMR systems.
- Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to deliver coordinated care.
- Educate patients, families, and staff on treatment goals and progress.
