About The Position
Dragonfly Cares is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist for an onsite, school-based leave replacement at an elementary school. The role provides services to K–2 students from now through the end of the 2025–26 school year, with the possibility of extension. The position is part-time, up to 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with a stated schedule of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pay is $65–$90 per hour, based on experience. Dragonfly Cares is a mission-driven organization that supports children with autism and developmental differences through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy in homes, centers, schools, and communities across Long Island.
Requirements
- Valid New York licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Active New York State TSSLD.
- Valid licensure and reliable transportation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in various settings and as part of a collaborative team.
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric or school-aged evaluation and treatment experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct treatment services to students in the K–2 population.
- Collaborate with other members of the school-based support team.
- Maintain appropriate documentation of sessions and student progress toward goals outlined in each student's IEP.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
