About The Position
Dragonfly Cares is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist for an onsite, school-based leave replacement in an elementary school. The role provides services to K–2 students from now through the end of the 2025–26 school year, with a possibility of extension. The position is part-time, up to 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The hourly pay range is $65–$90, based on experience. Dragonfly Cares is a mission-driven organization supporting children with autism and developmental differences through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services in homes, centers, schools, and communities across Long Island.
Requirements
- Valid New York State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Active New York State TSSLD.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in various settings and as part of a collaborative team.
- Reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric or school-aged evaluation and treatment experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct treatment services to students in the K–2 population.
- Collaborate with other members of the school-based support team.
- Maintain appropriate documentation of sessions and progress toward goals outlined in each student's IEP.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
