About The Position

Adoration Health is seeking a dedicated Home Health Speech Language Pathologist to provide patient-centered care in Clifton, New Jersey. The role provides one-to-one care in patients’ homes, with flexible scheduling and the ability to work independently while receiving team support. The position offers a full-time schedule and covers the Clifton, NJ area.

Requirements

• The posting lists graduation from an Occupational Therapy Education program approved by CAPTE.
• The posting lists current Occupational Therapist licensure in the state and American Heart Association CPR certification; CPR certification may be offered and completed upon hire.
• Two years of experience in adult occupational therapy.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and basic math skills.
• Physical therapy skills as specified by the competency checklist.

Nice To Haves

• Home health experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ speech or language difficulties and determine whether continued therapy services are needed.
• Teach patients to make sounds and improve their voices.
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability.
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises that support progress outside direct therapy sessions.
• Document patient progress, clinical notes, and responses to therapy, and submit visit documentation according to agency policy.
