About The Position
Adoration Home Health is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to provide patient-centered care in patients’ homes in the Wheeling, West Virginia coverage area. This PRN role offers independent work with team support and flexible scheduling. The position provides one-to-one care to help patients and families, evaluates speech and language difficulties, delivers therapy, and documents patient progress and clinical notes in accordance with agency policy. Adoration Health, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, provides compassionate services in the home and supports patients, families, and caregivers. Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
- At least one year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Current, unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where practicing.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ speech and language difficulties and determine the need for continued therapy services.
- Teach patients to make sounds and improve their voices.
- Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability.
- Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises to support progress outside direct therapy sessions.
- Document patient progress and clinical notes, including responses to therapy, and submit visit documentation according to agency policy.
