About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join an acute care team in a hospital setting. The role involves evaluating and treating patients with a wide range of medical conditions, including neurological, respiratory, and post-surgical complications.
Requirements
- Active Georgia SLP License
- CCC-SLP Certification (required)
- BLS Certification
- Minimum 15–18 months of recent SLP experience
Nice To Haves
- Experience in acute care settings
- Experience with MBS (Modified Barium Swallow) and FEES (preferred, not required)
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Manage patients with dysphagia, stroke, neurological, and respiratory conditions
- Provide care across multiple units, including ICU and acute care floors
- Perform bedside swallow evaluations and therapy sessions
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and progress
