About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Therapist (SLP) to join an acute care team in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions.
Requirements
- Minimum 15–18 months of recent experience in Speech Therapy
- Active Georgia SLP License
- CCC-SLP Certification (required)
- BLS Certification (required)
Nice To Haves
- Experience in acute care setting preferred
- MBS/FEES proficiency is a plus (not mandatory)
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Provide therapy services to acute care patients including ICU, stroke, and neurological cases
- Assess and manage dysphagia and respiratory-related communication challenges
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams for patient care planning
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment plans
- Follow physician orders and hospital protocols for therapy services
