Requirements

A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or a similarly-titled area consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Licensed, certified or credentialed, as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

Deliver effective and efficient rehabilitation services to help patients regain communication, swallowing, and diminish disorders or deficits.
Design and execute individualized treatment plans to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients' speech and communication abilities.
Address the whole patient as an individual, adapting to their needs and finding joy in the variety of work settings.
Collaborate with peers and make referrals to ensure patients receive comprehensive care.
Train patients and caregivers on necessary skills to promote independence and productivity.
Perform tasks such as cleaning equipment and attending meetings.
