This is a temporary position for a Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) in Rehabilitation services, working day shifts in Kerrville, TX. The role involves screening, evaluating, and rehabilitating patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. The SLP will develop appropriate plans of care, utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice, and track patient progress. They will also provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers, and communicate effectively with supervisors and other healthcare team members. Documentation in the electronic system and maintenance of patient records are crucial, as is accurate recording of treatment minutes. Participation in required meetings and trainings is expected. The SLP will also be responsible for obtaining necessary Durable Medical Equipment (DME) or supplies and may supervise Certified Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or student Speech-Language Pathologists. Adherence to ASHA and State practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics is mandatory.
