This is a temporary position for a Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) in a Long Term Care (LTC) setting, working day shifts. The role involves screening, evaluating, and rehabilitating patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. The SLP will develop appropriate plans of care, utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice, and document patient progress and treatment outcomes. The position also includes providing consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers, collaborating with healthcare team members, and preparing discharge summaries. Accurate documentation in the electronic system and recording treatment minutes are essential. Participation in required meetings and trainings is expected. The SLP will also be responsible for obtaining necessary DME or supplies and may supervise CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists. Adherence to ASHA and State practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics is required.
