This is a temporary, part-time, long-term care position for a Physical Therapist in Haverhill, MA. The role involves screening, evaluating, and rehabilitating patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care. The therapist will develop appropriate plans of care, utilize standardized assessments, and implement evidence-based interventions. This includes administering various procedures such as manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care. The therapist will assess patient progress, adjust treatments, evaluate outcomes, and provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers. Effective communication with supervisors and team members is essential. A comprehensive discharge summary is required, and all documentation must be maintained in the electronic system according to company policy. Accurate recording of treatment minutes is also necessary. Participation in required meetings and trainings is expected. The therapist will be responsible for obtaining necessary DME or supplies and supervising physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students. Adherence to APTA and State Required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics is mandatory.
