About The Position

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for providing speech, language, and dysphagia services to patients, which includes evaluations, planning individual patient care programs, treatments, and home programs. This position will be responsible for inpatient services such as bedside swallow studies, diet recommendations, and monitoring, and outpatient VFSS in addition to outpatient speech therapy evaluation/intervention for the adult population. The candidate must be able to work independently.

Requirements

2+ years pediatric SLP experience
Pediatric experience
Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology
VFSS experience
Must be willing to work in INPATIENT and OUTPATIENT Units
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
Traveler's perm address must be included in profile
New grads will not be considered
Traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment
Any/All RTO must be included in profile.

Speech Language Pathology, current to 1 year [REQUIRED]
At least 1 Supervisory-Signed Reference from within the past two years of employment [REQUIRED]

Responsibilities

Performs patient evaluations and administers treatment for speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Designs and revises plans of care and goals.
Provides written and/or verbal reports to physicians.
Completes documentation according to unit standards and regulatory requirements.
Participates in in-service education programs.
Keeps abreast of current trends and developments in speech and swallowing disorders.
Participates in related activities such as patient care committees, case conferences, personnel orientation, community education projects, and in-service education.
Attends staff meetings.
Responsible for inpatient services such as bedside swallow studies, diet recommendations, and monitoring.
Responsible for outpatient VFSS.
Responsible for outpatient speech therapy evaluation/intervention for the adult population.
