About The Position

Mighty Minds and Muscles Therapy & Coaching Services is seeking a Speech and Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to join a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and special education teachers. This role involves working in our Lower Manhattan office, providing in-clinic and in-school services. Our clinic is a neurodiverse-affirming environment that values teamwork, collaboration, and interdisciplinary mentorship. We work with a diverse clientele including individuals with needs in oral motor and myofunctional development, language development, social skills, feeding, executive functioning, and articulation. The position involves working directly under the director of the speech therapy division and collaborating with occupational therapists in a sensory gym setting, with access to a wide array of therapy supplies, games, and equipment.

Requirements

  • Valid NY Speech-Language Pathology License.
  • Professional liability insurance.
  • NYC DOE fingerprinting and clearance required prior to the start date.
  • Previous experience in pediatrics.
  • Self-motivated, self-disciplined, creative, and confident working independently.
  • Willing to work in a small, personable setting with an abundance of resources.
  • Confident, good at communicating, and creative.
  • Willing to invest in themselves through mentorship and continuing education.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience is preferred, but candidates with less experience, including CFs, will be considered.
  • Experience with ADHD and ASD is highly valued.
  • Specialty certifications and a non-traditional approach are highly preferred.
  • CCCs (Certificate of Clinical Competence) are preferred but not necessary for consideration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech and language therapy services in a school setting three days a week, alongside an Occupational Therapist.
  • Conduct after-school therapy sessions in the clinic.
  • Work with individuals with needs in oral motor and myofunctional development, language development, social skills, feeding, executive functioning, and articulation.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and special education teachers.
  • Participate in mentorship and continuing education to develop expertise.
