About The Position

Performs patient and specimen identification; collects blood and non-blood specimens; and performs specialized procedures appropriate to the patient’s age. Performs computer functions supporting laboratory, hospital, reference laboratory, and registration systems. Processes reference testing and communicates with internal and external customers about reference testing.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Completion of an approved phlebotomy training program.
• One year of clinical laboratory experience.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program.
• Three years of clinical laboratory experience.
• Proficiency with the Sunquest laboratory information system.
