About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Specialty Software Engineer for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution in San Francisco, CA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This is a hands-on development role with a strong coding focus, joining a team building and deploying greenfield Agentic AI solutions. The successful candidate will primarily build, enhance, and support AI agents that orchestrate and automate marketing campaign activities within a highly visible, strategic program. The hybrid schedule is approximately 3 days per week onsite.

Requirements

5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education
5+ years of experience with Python
5+ years of experience with Microservices
5+ years of experience with API Development/Integration
5+ years of experience with MongoDB
Strong experience as a backend Python developer building and supporting microservices-based applications
Experience designing and consuming APIs
Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI frameworks, and AI orchestration concepts
Experience working with MongoDB and vector databases

Nice To Haves

2+ years of experience with Agentic AI
Experience with FastAPI, AsyncIO, and Multiprocessing
Knowledge of performance tuning, profiling, caching strategies, and database/query optimization
Familiarity with event-driven architecture and high-availability, fault-tolerant system design
Experience with Generative AI application development, multi-agent workflow design, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
Skills in prompt engineering, prompt orchestration, tool calling, and LLM routing
Experience with model evaluation frameworks, hallucination detection, and Human-in-the-loop validation
Knowledge of enterprise AI platform architecture, AI governance standards, and AI guardrails implementation
Experience with Kafka and streaming data pipelines
Understanding of vector database architecture, semantic retrieval, and embedding pipelines

Responsibilities

Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Specialty Software Engineering
Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale, or longer-term Specialty Software Engineering challenges
Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Build, enhance, and support cutting-edge AI agents
Strategically collaborate and consult with developers, architects, and other client personnel
