About The Position

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Engineer - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Irving, TX. This is a 24-month contract opportunity. In this role, you will consult on and participate in moderately complex initiatives within Software Engineering. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in C# and .NET application development, particularly with database-driven applications using SQL Server, to resolve complex technical challenges.

Requirements

5+ years of professional software development experience, including strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET application development
Strong experience designing and developing database-driven applications using SQL Server or comparable relational database platforms
Proficiency with database programming concepts, including stored procedures, functions, indexing, query optimization, transactions, and data modeling
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, design patterns, and software development lifecycle practices
Experience developing RESTful APIs, services, batch processes, integrations, or backend application components
Experience with source control systems such as Git and modern development workflows, including branching, pull requests, and code reviews
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across application code, database logic, and runtime environments
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering
Contribute to large-scale planning related to Software Engineering deliverables
Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges
Contribute to the resolution of issues and consult with others to meet deliverables
Leverage a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Collaborate with client personnel in Software Engineering
