About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for a hybrid position (3 days a week in office required) with a Global Financial Institution located in Minneapolis, MN or Charlotte, NC. This is a 3+ month contract opportunity. The Human Resources Information Technology (HRIT) team provides technology support for team member focused applications and processes. This role will support Workday Engineering functions for the Compensation product team to deliver advanced compensation solutions. The engineer will work on critical US and global Compensation technical projects that deliver year-end cycle solutions to the product in an Agile environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of Workday development experience in the advanced compensation functional area
  • 2+ years of Workday development experience, including integrations - EIB's, Core Connectors, Studio, Reporting - Report Writer, Advanced Reporting
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology

Nice To Haves

  • Workday or other HR systems
  • Compensation experience
  • Experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools
  • Experience/Knowledge in Adaptive Workforce Planning, Modeling, Sheets, Reports and Dashboards
  • Knowledge of Adaptive security, permission sets, user groups, access rules
  • Experience in setting up integration between HCM and Adaptive, User sync and SSO
  • Leadership skills including the ability to influence effectively in a matrix environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of Agile
  • Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
  • Ability to shift priorities as work-flow/volume dictates
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience
  • Workday Extend development experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Support the planning and sizing of development items for sprint planning
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Develop, configure, and maintain integrations for assigned product(s) in Workday
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
