About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking an Android Software Engineer for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution in San Leandro, CA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. The role involves consulting on complex initiatives for software engineering, focusing on Android application front-end development using Kotlin within a scrum team on retail applications. The candidate will review and analyze large-scale software engineering challenges and contribute to their resolution.

Requirements

• 5 years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
• 4 years of Android development in a team or corporate/enterprise environment.
• 3 years of Kotlin Development, Reactive Programming, coroutines, Dependency Injection (Dagger), Retrofit and, Jetpack architecture component.
• Technical degree or additional experience.

Nice To Haves

• Fintech or banking experience.
• Example applications in the app stores.

Responsibilities

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering.
• Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
• Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
