About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Specialty Software Engineer - AI/Python for a hybrid, long-term contract opportunity with a Global Financial Institution in San Francisco, CA. This is a hands-on development role with a strong coding focus, centered on building and deploying greenfield Agentic AI solutions. You will join a team developing AI agents that orchestrate and automate marketing campaign activities as part of a highly visible, strategic program. The position involves building, enhancing, and supporting these AI agents in a collaborative environment with daily team standups and close interaction with developers and architects.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience with Python
• 5+ years of experience with microservices
• 5+ years of experience with API Development and Integration
• 5+ years of experience with MongoDB
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI frameworks, and AI orchestration concepts
• Experience with vector databases

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of experience with Agentic AI
• Experience with Core Technical Skills such as REST API development, distributed systems design, FastAPI, AsyncIO, performance tuning, and event-driven architecture
• Familiarity with Generative AI/LLM Skills like Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and model evaluation frameworks
• Knowledge of AI Platform & Architecture Skills including AI governance, guardrails, and Responsible AI controls
• Data Engineering skills with Kafka and streaming data pipelines

Responsibilities

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for specialty software engineering
• Build, enhance, and support AI agents using Python and microservices architecture
• Review and analyze complex, multi-faceted, larger scale, or longer-term software engineering challenges
• Contribute to the resolution of complex situations requiring a solid understanding of function, policies, and procedures
• Collaborate with developers and architects, communicating technical needs and blockers effectively
