About The Position

The Specialty Server takes guest food and beverage orders, serves food, responds to special requests for dining amenities, and totals dining charges. The role provides a high level of customer service and helps create a fun, entertaining experience for guests and team members. The server maintains a professional appearance and follows company and department policies and service standards.

The position requires complete product knowledge, including the ability to describe menu items, make successful food and beverage pairing suggestions, present beverages, and professionally present wine tableside. Responsibilities also include entering orders into the POS system, accepting and reconciling payments, recommending items to increase guest check averages as directed by management, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and learning about Hollywood movie memorabilia and restaurant displays.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of table service experience in a fine dining setting is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Must understand and speak English.
• Must be able to carry food trays of varying sizes weighing 30 pounds or more on one tray.

• Enter items into the POS system, accept payment, and reconcile payments.
• Make suggestions and recommendations to increase guest check averages as defined by management.
• Follow safety procedures and keep the work area clean and safe.
• Learn and maintain knowledge of Hollywood movie memorabilia and describe restaurant displays, including relevant actor and historical details.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
