About The Position

The Specialty Food Server receives and serves food and beverage orders from guests and may collect payment and make change. The role involves providing courteous guest service, entering orders and payments using a computerized system, retrieving prepared orders from the kitchen, delivering orders, and keeping the dining room clean.

Requirements

• Must be 21 or older.
• Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
• Must be able to lift and carry trays weighing approximately 40 pounds.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Must be able to use a computer system to place food and beverage orders and process payments.
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of food and beverage service experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of food specialty or cuisine and service standards in the specific room strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and communicate with guests in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Receive and process food and beverage orders using a computerized guest check system.
• Retrieve prepared orders from the kitchen and deliver them to guests.
• Carry and balance trays and/or push a food and beverage cart through the kitchen and dining room.
• Maintain cleanliness of all dining room areas.
• Present guest checks and collect payment or deliver payment to the cashier.
