About The Position

The Host greets and escorts restaurant guests to their tables based on party size and assigned stations. The role includes presenting menus and describing specials, circulating through the restaurant, and coordinating service personnel to support prompt and courteous service. The Host also assigns breaks, monitors cleanliness and safety compliance, handles or escalates customer complaints, and maintains shift records.

Requirements

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and certifications.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort guests to tables according to party size and station assignments.
• Provide menus and inform guests about specials.
• Circulate through the restaurant and coordinate service personnel to provide fast, courteous service.
• Assign breaks for bus persons and food servers.
• Inspect and monitor room cleanliness and compliance with safety and health code regulations.
• Resolve customer complaints or refer them to management as appropriate.
• Maintain records of guests served during the shift, employee absences, and equipment or food-service problems.
