About The Position

The Specialty Beauty Advisor – Lancôme (SBA – Lancôme) maximizes sales in the Lancôme brand, including color cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance. The advisor engages guests to understand their needs, assists with merchandise selection and purchases, and maintains store standards such as cleanliness and replenishment. They represent Ulta Beauty and Lancôme to guests and support the Experience Manager through performance, people, and process priorities. The position calls for a passion for beauty, exceptional guest service, and the ability to learn and communicate product knowledge. The advisor provides personalized service, performs makeup applications and skincare analysis, demonstrates products, supports appointments and in-store events, and builds customer relationships. They keep current with industry and product trends, participate in training, contribute to an inclusive team environment, and follow company and brand policies, procedures, and operational standards. Duties also include maintaining the Lancôme area and other assigned areas, supporting merchandise resets and inventory, processing shipments, and following loss-prevention practices. Other projects and duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma is preferred.
Cosmetology or demonstrator license where required by state law.
Ability to demonstrate competency in sales, products, and service.
Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to handle guest concerns positively and proactively and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to attend brand-sponsored trainings.
Frequent mobility during the shift.
Frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting during the shift.
Continuous lifting and/or moving of up to 10 lbs. during the shift.
Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects during the shift.

Responsibilities

Meet or exceed Lancôme sales and clientele goals and contribute to store goals for retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni-channel, and retail shrink.
Greet and engage guests, personalize service, offer samples, and recommend complementary products and services.
Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations.
Stay current on available prestige training and industry, product, and service trends.
Book appointments and support services and in-store events that provide a strong guest experience and meet sales goals.
Build and maintain customer relationships, contact preferred customers, follow up on guest inquiries, and inform guests about promotions, events, and services.
Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
Support an inclusive and collaborative environment for teammates, peers, and guests.
Promote the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
Maintain relationships with Lancôme brand partners through required training and the execution of events and promotions.
Collaborate with store managers and associates to grow the business and participate in ongoing brand and category education.
Follow Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, standards, and the Ulta Beauty and Lancôme dress code.
Maintain operational standards and cleanliness in the Lancôme area and other assigned areas, including the salesfloor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break area.
Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory, and shipment processing.
Protect company assets by following loss-prevention best practices and providing exceptional guest service.
Execute other operational tasks as directed.
