About The Position

The Specialty Beauty Advisor – Lancôme (SBA – Lancôme) maximizes sales for the Lancôme brand, including color cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance. The advisor engages guests to understand their needs, helps them select and purchase merchandise, and maintains store standards, including cleanliness and replenishment. They represent Ulta Beauty and Lancôme to guests and support the Experience Manager through sales and event performance, guest service and associate culture, and adherence to operating procedures and compliance standards. The role calls for a passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and the ability to learn and communicate product knowledge.

The advisor meets brand sales and clientele goals, provides personalized service, performs makeup applications and skincare analysis, demonstrates products, and supports appointments and in-store events. They build customer relationships, follow up with guests, stay informed about industry trends, and participate in brand and category training. They also uphold company policies, maintain the Lancôme area and other assigned store areas, assist with merchandising and shipment tasks, and follow loss-prevention practices.

The position requires a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as attendance at brand-sponsored trainings. Working conditions include frequent mobility and standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting; continuous lifting or moving of items up to 10 pounds; and continuous coordination and manipulation of objects.

The pay range is $18.00–$28.00 per hour. Eligible associates may earn overtime as required by law. Full-time associates are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits. Part-time associates are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.

Requirements

• High school diploma is preferred.
• Cosmetology or demonstrator license where required by state law.
• Demonstrated competency in sales, products, and service.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle guest concerns positively and proactively and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to attend brand-sponsored trainings.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed Lancôme brand sales and clientele goals and contribute to store goals for retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni-channel sales, and retail shrink.
• Greet and engage guests, personalize service, offer samples, and recommend complementary products or services.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations.
• Stay current on prestige training and product, industry, and service trends, including relevant ingredients and benefits.
• Book appointments and support services and in-store events that deliver a strong guest experience and meet sales goals.
• Build customer relationships, maintain contact with preferred customers, follow up on guest inquiries, and inform guests about promotions, events, and services.
• Contribute to an inclusive and collaborative environment for teammates, peers, and guests.
• Explain the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
• Maintain relationships with Lancôme brand partners through required training and execution of events and promotions.
• Collaborate with store managers and associates to help grow the business.
• Participate in ongoing brand and category training and professional development.
• Follow Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, standards, and the Ulta Beauty and Lancôme dress code.
• Maintain cleanliness and operational standards in the Lancôme area, testers, demonstration stations, and other assigned store areas.
• Assist with merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory, and shipment processing.
• Protect company assets by following loss-prevention practices and providing exceptional guest service.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance and complete other operational tasks as directed.
