About The Position

As part of the Assembly and Test Technical Support team, this role sits at the heart of operations at the Longueuil Engine Center, providing technical support to the Vanes team. Our team is seeking a dynamic, creative, and organized individual who is eager to contribute to the sector's transformation through process development and improvement, as well as the introduction of new technologies. The Vanes Center of Excellence plays a key role in supporting assembly lines and in ensuring the performance and reliable engines manufactured by Pratt & Whitney. This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, based in Longueuil, and performed exclusively on-site.

Requirements

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in technical support, engineering, or project management
  • Excellent command of French—both spoken and written—to effectively navigate the daily work environment
  • Ability to draft complex documents and lead technical meetings in English
  • Solid knowledge of various material processing methods, such as molding, machining, forming, and heat treatments
  • Knowledge of fluid mechanics
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds and communication styles
  • Demonstrated mobilizing leadership and sense of initiative
  • Autonomy, organizational skills, and efficiency

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in 3D modeling and scanning technology (an asset)

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing and identifying opportunities for process improvement
  • Planning and leading improvement initiatives in collaboration with Operations, Logistics, and Departmental Supervision teams
  • Conducting capability and reliability studies for vane rigs
  • Acting as a liaison and subject matter expert for various stakeholders — including Engineering, Procurement, Tooling, and Aftermarket Services — to integrate design changes aimed at improving the producibility and performance of processes, vanes, and engines
  • Studying, developing, and implementing new tools and processes to help the team achieve greater efficiency
