About The Position

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Diagnostic Radiographers/Mammographers to be considered for fixed-term full-time, part-time or casual Specialist Radiographer opportunities with BreastScreen Tasmania. Successful applicants may be offered appointments of up to 12 months, with hours subject to clinical service needs and individual availability. Appointments may be across one or more BreastScreen Tasmania locations.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia
  • Registered with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia
  • Licensed to practice under Tasmanian Radiation Protection Act 2005 and the Radiation Protection Regulations 2016

Nice To Haves

  • Certificate of Clinical Proficiency in Mammography (CCPM)
  • Breast ultrasound skills
  • Current Driver’s Licence

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver screening mammography, diagnostic imaging and further assessment imaging as required across BreastScreen Tasmania screening unit sites.
  • Have the opportunity to take a leading role in supervising and supporting less experienced staff.
  • Perform duties in accordance with the BreastScreen Australia Program, ensuring professional and clinical standards are maintained at all times.
