About The Position

The Specialist, Human Resources will support the implementation of regional HR initiatives across recruiting, employee engagement, leadership development, and employee relations. This role partners with the HR Manager to ensure HR initiatives align with organizational goals and talent strategy. The Specialist will also partner with hiring managers throughout the recruitment lifecycle, coordinate interview scheduling and onboarding activities, and serve as a trusted HR resource to supervisors and managers. Key responsibilities include conducting initial employee relations investigations, leading engagement and development initiatives, conducting HR process audits, supporting unemployment claims, analyzing workforce data, and maintaining accurate HR records. Additionally, the role involves greeting visitors and providing day-to-day operational support to the HR Manager and regional leaders.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of progressive HR experience
  • Exposure to multiple HR disciplines (e.g., recruiting, employee relations, HR operations)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to establish trust and credibility with employees, managers, and cross-functional partners
  • Analytical thinking with sound judgment in resolving HR-related issues
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity
  • Experience with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and collaboration tools
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and adjust to changing priorities
  • Proven ability to work effectively with Corporate HR Shared Services and internal stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of regional HR initiatives across recruiting, employee engagement, leadership development, and employee relations.
  • Partner with the HR Manager to ensure HR initiatives align with organizational goals and talent strategy.
  • Partner with hiring managers throughout the recruitment lifecycle, including candidate screening, interview recommendations, offer development, and onboarding strategy.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling, candidate communication, onboarding activities, and new hire orientations.
  • Serve as a trusted HR resource to supervisors and managers by providing guidance on HR policies, employee relations matters, performance management, and workforce issues.
  • Conduct initial employee relations investigations, gather facts, analyze findings, and provide recommendations to leaders and the HR Manager regarding policy application, corrective action, and conflict resolution.
  • Partner with leaders to address attendance, performance, conduct, and workplace concerns while ensuring consistency and compliance.
  • Lead and execute employee engagement, recognition, retention, and leadership development initiatives, measure effectiveness, and recommend improvements.
  • Conduct routine audits of HR processes and records to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Support unemployment claim responses, investigations, and documentation.
  • Analyze workforce data, turnover trends, hiring metrics, engagement feedback, and attendance patterns to identify opportunities and provide recommendations to leadership.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure timely completion of HR documentation and processes.
  • Greet visitors in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner and determine the purpose of each visit.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support to the HR Manager and regional leaders.
