About The Position

Safely operates a forklift and computerized scanning equipment to select and gather finished goods according to written orders. Works with inventory control on cycle counts of finished goods and, as needed, to pull samples, contributions, and products for special events. Also performs duties of a Warehouse General Forklift Operator and Warehouse Rework Laborer on occasion, and completes other work as directed by a supervisor.

Requirements

High school education; additional training is preferred.
Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions.
Ability to speak, read, and write in English for job tasks.
Certified forklift operator.

Responsibilities

Completes a pre-operational checklist before operating the lift each day and reports forklift damage or malfunction to a supervisor.
Operates the forklift at a reasonable and prudent speed while watching for pedestrians and other motorized vehicles.
Uses a forklift and computerized scanning equipment to select and gather finished goods according to written orders; pulls and stacks cases by hand as needed.
Selects finished goods according to the established code-date plan and accurately records code dates on bills of lading.
Transports items to the outgoing staging area, checks pulled items against the order, and ensures staged loads are clean and wrapped for shipment.
Maintains accurate records of orders picked.
Operates a pallet inverter and shrink-wrap machine.
Uses a forklift to unload finished goods moving between warehouses.
Cleans warehouse floors, trailers, loading docks, and exterior areas around the warehouse; keeps the warehouse clean and orderly.
Follows safety rules and company policies.
Performs Warehouse General Forklift Operator and Warehouse Rework Laborer duties on occasion.
Participates in training, employee meetings, committees, and project teams as appropriate.
Follows written or verbal instructions from a supervisor and performs other work as directed.
