About The Position

This is a student employment position focused on supporting the health and wellness initiatives of Special Olympics CT. The role involves identifying local health and wellness opportunities, managing social media content, assisting with health screenings and data collection, and supporting the Health & Wellness Department and Athlete Health Leader.

Requirements

• Good interpersonal skills
• Be committed to the philosophy, needs and rewards of working with Special Olympics
• Be enthusiastic and outgoing
• Have excellent organizational, writing and communication skills
• Be experienced using Excel, Word, Publisher and PowerPoint
• Be able to work some nights and weekends if required

Responsibilities

• Identify local health and wellness opportunities for athletes, families and caregivers
• Create and manage weekly Wellness Wednesday posts for Facebook
• Engage in the planning and implementation of Healthy Athletes screening(s) at Summer Games
• Assist with Healthy Athletes data collection, entry, and analysis
• Provide support to the Athlete Health Leader
• Assist in the planning and implementation of the Athlete and Family Health Team
• Provide support to the Health & Wellness Department
