About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to work one-on-one with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in home and community settings. DSPs serve as companions and mentors, supporting clients in reaching their full potential. Positions are available in Lincolnton, Denver, Stanley, and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible scheduling, with weekday afternoon and evening shifts (including 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.) and flexible weekend shifts of up to 12 hours. Starting pay is $15 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of experience working with people with intellectual or developmental disabilities; training may be available through the apprentice program for applicants without this experience.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance, including dressing and grooming.
Accompany clients on errands and appointments.
Spend time with clients doing their favorite hobbies and activities.
Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation.
Participate in community integration activities.
Help lift and reposition clients.
