About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and other direct-care professionals in Marion, North Carolina, and surrounding communities. In this role, you will work one-on-one with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in their homes and communities. You will provide companionship, mentoring, and practical support to help clients develop independence and life skills and take part in meaningful community activities. Starting pay is $15 per hour or more, with weekly pay, flexible scheduling, and available afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts. A $500 sign-on bonus is available in Buncombe, Henderson, and McDowell Counties.

Requirements

• One or more years of experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities; training may be available through an apprentice program for applicants without this experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including assistance with dressing, grooming, and daily living activities.
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and community outings.
• Participate with clients in hobbies, recreational activities, and social engagement opportunities.
• Assist with meal preparation and household routines.
• Support clients’ community integration and independence goals.
• Build positive relationships with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
