About The Position

Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Teacher at Uta Halee Academy in Omaha, Nebraska. Uta Halee Academy (UHA) is a female-specific, residential program that offers young women opportunities to build productive and meaningful futures for themselves and their communities. Through rigorous education, positive skill development, and individualized therapeutic interventions and treatment, we empower youth to reach their full potential. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age
Possess a current and valid Nebraska teaching credential in Special Education K-12
Bachelor's degree in the Education field from an accredited college or university
Have three or more years of successful classroom teaching
Have related experience working with at-risk youth ages 13-17
Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test
Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry

Nice To Haves

Preferred multiple credentials in Math and Science

Responsibilities

Serve as a member of the Education Department.
Primarily responsible for implementing and adhering to the principles of Positive Organizational Culture and providing instructional services to students.
Work collaboratively with staff in a supportive fashion, emphasizing a positive attitude toward students, staff, and program.
