About The Position

A Paraeducator II provides instructional support and other direct services to students under the direction of a certified teacher or other licensed employee. This classification generally works with students who have significantly disabling conditions, including cognitive, behavioral, and/or significant medical impairments. The position is full-time, benefits-eligible, and follows a nine-month Monday-through-Friday schedule. The position is at Ben Franklin Middle School, with immediate availability. Salary ranges from $18.61 to $23.08 per hour. Applicants must apply online through the district’s application portal; paper submissions are not accepted. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing with students, colleagues, and parents or guardians.
Basic academic and computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience working or volunteering in a school setting.
Experience working with individualized education plans (IEPs).
Associate degree in Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a similar field.
Experience working as a direct support professional, personal care aide, CNA, or in a similar position.

Responsibilities
