About The Position

Paraeducators provide instructional support and deliver other direct services to students under the direction of a certified teacher or other licensed employee. This full-time, benefits-eligible position is at Lincoln Elementary School, follows a 9-month schedule, and is scheduled Monday through Friday. The position is available immediately. The salary range is $18.24 to $22.70 per hour.

Additional education and/or experience may be required for specific aide positions. Some positions are supported by Title I funds and require additional education or certification. Candidates hired for a Title I position must obtain Title I Paraprofessional Certification before hire or before working with students.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing with students, colleagues, and parents or guardians.
• Basic academic and computer skills.
• For Title I positions, Title I Paraprofessional Certification is required before hire or work with students.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working or volunteering in a school setting.
• Experience working with individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Associate degree in Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a similar field.
• Experience as a direct support professional, personal care aide, CNA, or in a similar position.
