Special Education and At-Risk Teacher at Prevail Academy
About The Position
Prevail Academy is seeking a teacher to support Special Education students for 20 hours per week and At-Risk students for 20 hours per week, for a total of 40 hours per week. Prevail Academy is located in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, opened in 2004, and serves students in grades K–8. The position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $2,500. The teacher provides specially designed instruction addressing students’ disability-related needs, which may include resource room, inclusion, and/or pullout services. The role also provides instructional support and assessments for students performing below grade level and creates, manages, and participates in varied learning environments and activities in applicable core content areas. The teacher participates in professional development focused on special education curriculum and data-tracking tools, and performs additional duties as assigned. Requirements
- Hold a valid teacher license or meet alternative requirements.

Responsibilities
- Provide specially designed instruction to meet the unique needs of students resulting from their disabilities, including resource room, inclusion, and/or pullout services.
- Participate in professional development specific to special education curriculum and data-tracking tools.
- Provide instructional support and assessments for students who are below grade level.
- Create, manage, and participate in a variety of learning environments and activities in applicable core content areas.
