Spanish-Speaking Direct Support Professional (DSP) — Baldwin, NY
About The Position
Provide one-on-one support to a 7-year-old girl with autism in her home in Baldwin, New York. The role is scheduled Monday through Thursday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, for 12 consistent hours per week with the same family and no driving between clients. You will speak Spanish with the child and her family during each session and use conversational English with the supervising BCBA for notes and check-ins. Direct BCBA supervision and paid training are provided; prior ABA experience and certification are not required. Supervision hours may be available toward RBT certification.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with children.
- Fluency in Spanish.
- Conversational English for supervision and documentation.
- Caring, patient, dependable, and genuinely invested in a child's progress.
Nice To Haves
- DSP, behavior technician, paraprofessional, or ABA experience is welcome but not required.
