About The Position

Language Trainers is seeking a freelance Spanish teacher to provide customized, one-to-one general Spanish lessons to an intermediate-level adult student in New York, United States. The course consists of 20 total hours, with two-hour sessions once per week. The student prefers Mondays or Tuesdays from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and would like to start as soon as possible. Classes are preferred at the student’s home in New York, NY 10065; the student is also willing to meet at the teacher’s office if it is more than a 15-minute commute from home. Schedule and location may be flexible based on availability. The student wants to improve fluency to communicate with a Spanish-speaking spouse and family, support a bilingual household, build relationships with friends and relatives, and communicate during annual trips to Spain. The hourly rate is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

• Be a native Spanish speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
• Have experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
• Have a valid work permit or visa.
• Live within 20 miles of the specified location.
