About The Position

Language Trainers is seeking a freelance Bengali teacher to provide customized one-to-one language training to a beginner student in Minneapolis. The course combines general and business Bengali and consists of 30 total hours, with two-hour sessions. Lessons are scheduled twice per week, on Mondays and Fridays, with an occasional Saturday session if a weekday lesson is missed. Training would take place at the client's office at Larkin Hoffman in Bloomington, Minnesota, only if the teacher is within an 8-mile radius; schedule and location may be flexible based on availability. The student is 65 or older and wants to communicate with Bangladeshi nationals for professional and humanitarian purposes, including connecting with businesses and exploring work with NGOs in Bangladesh. The preferred start date is January 10, 2027. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. This is a freelance position with part-time hours.

Requirements

• Be a native Bengali speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
• Have experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
• Have a valid work permit or visa.
• Live within 20 miles of the specified location.
• Meet the location condition for in-office lessons: be within an 8-mile radius of the client's office.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one Bengali language instruction covering general and business topics.
