About The Position

Language Trainers is seeking a freelance Japanese teacher to provide customized, one-to-one general Japanese instruction to a beginner/elementary-level adult student in Charlotte, North Carolina. The course consists of 50 total hours, with two-hour sessions planned once per week. The student is available on weekdays after 5 p.m. and weekends from noon to 3 p.m.; schedule and location may be flexible based on the teacher’s availability. The student hopes to build confidence before a trip in January. The preferred start date is as soon as possible. The hourly rate is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications. This is a freelance position with part-time hours; visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

• Be a native Japanese speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
• Have experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
• Have a valid work permit or visa; the company cannot sponsor visas.
• Live within 20 miles of the specified location in Charlotte, NC 28269.

Responsibilities
