About The Position

We are seeking talented individuals proficient in Spanish and English to join our team of international interpreters. If you have a passion for languages and a commitment to providing excellent service, we want to hear from you! This is a fully remote position. As a remote interpreter, you play a significant role in facilitating communication between Spanish and English speakers. The interpreter needs to be able to process information quickly and accurately in a professional manner. It is essential to ensure a quiet and secure environment. Notepads, writing utensils, glossaries, and dictionaries are useful tools.

Requirements

Fluency in English and Spanish
Based in the United States
Minimum 1 year of interpretation experience
Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy
Ability to render correct concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocols, avoiding omissions or additions
Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication, with permission or at the request of the client
90% English proficiency
Steady wired internet connection
USB wired headset
Windows 10 or Mac

Responsibilities

Answer calls professionally, acting according to the interpreter’s code of conduct
Be familiar with industry-specific vocabulary (especially healthcare and medical terminology)
Participate in internal professional training
Communicate and report to your team leader
