About The Position

The Senior Space Operations Financial Analyst provides financial support to the Space Force as part of a high-performance team responsible for evaluating, assessing, managing, and executing a financial resource portfolio. The role prepares, updates, and executes financial documents during the current-year execution phase and presents execution status, data, and plans for closing out current fiscal-year funds to mission-area stakeholders. It also supports past, current, and future resource needs, including review, evaluation, and maintenance of Space Force capabilities.

The analyst provides resource-allocation and Program Objective Memorandum (POM) programming recommendations to directorate-level senior personnel. The role collects mission resource needs and requirements across the Directorate, consolidates them, proposes adjustments and prioritization strategies, and coordinates a prioritized Directorate resource position for inclusion in POM corporate processes.

Requirements

• Experience preparing budget-estimate documents, including Execution Plans, Spend Plans, and Unfunded Requirement justifications, and producing funding documents.
• Experience assisting with resource spending and budget planning.
• Experience creating Program Objective Memorandum (POM) submissions.
• Experience with Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) corporate processes.
• Experience with Air Force, Space Force, or DoD staffing processes.
• Experience creating verbal and written client communications, such as presentations, memorandums, data-analysis products, or financial documentation.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ability to analyze missions and develop alternative solutions.
• Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree.
