About The Position

The Senior Space Analyst contributes to retail success by developing retail shelf planograms and floor plans that improve financial, operational, and customer outcomes. The role combines analytic reporting, tactical execution of category strategies, and physical work building planograms in a retail test lab. Performance is measured by designing effective customer-centric planograms and floor plans, supporting the Category Management Process with financial analysis of space performance, and growing retail sales and gross profit for space and inventory. The position assigns and peer-reviews planogram work, prepares space-performance data and reports for stakeholders, and trains Space Analysts in best practices and JDA planogram software. It maintains planogram tracking documents and serves as business owner for the Retail Merchandising site, coordinating with IT on management and improvements. The role builds floor plans in JDA and AutoCAD, develops layout recommendations, supports store implementation schedules, creates planogram orders, and responds to field requests using financial performance data. The analyst supports category management through reporting and recommendations on the use of linear space, grade cuts, and core ranges. The role also ensures planograms follow applicable safety rules, including requirements for dangerous-goods adjacencies, lifting heights, fixture integrity, and interior graphics. Work is performed in a typical office environment under a hybrid plan, with at least two work-from-home days per week most weeks. Approximately 20–30% of weekly hours are spent physically building planograms in the retail lab, and travel is less than 5% of the time.
