Requirements

  • Experience with general facility maintenance including painting--required
  • Excellent organization and guest service skills. -required
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests on an individual and group basis- required
  • Must be able to maintain flexibility in schedule to meet guest occupancy and staffing demands to include weekends and holidays. -required
  • Ability to lift up to 65 lbs. -required

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiencies in Microsoft systems: Word, Publisher, Excel, One Drive, Outlook - preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform opening and closing duties for pool and health club as assigned for shift.
  • Acknowledge weekly Safety Trainings and seasonal Guest Service Trainings.
  • Update signage to reflect current operations.
  • Inspect and upkeep the facilities including general cleanliness and report on equipment maintenance.
  • Perform daily cleaning and weekly deep cleaning duties to maintain gym, locker rooms, and pool deck area. Weekly deep clean includes gym equipment, steam room, pool tiles, and locker room showers.
  • Assist guests using the fitness equipment, pool ADA chair, and unlocking lockers.
  • Assist guest service concerns as they arise to address any operational problems.
  • Enforce and monitor “No glass or alcohol allowed out on pool deck” policy.
  • Manage health club lost and found. Inspect lockers at the end of all night shifts to ensure items are not left and stored overnight.
  • Launder, fold, and stock fitness center laundry.
  • Perform duties to maximize safety and minimize risk to self and others.
  • Comply with all resort policies, procedures and standards of operations.
  • Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, and ethics in dealing with guests and co-workers.
  • Comply with department dress code to include neatness, name tag, and hygiene.
  • Able to receive constructive feedback and training to ensure quality and safety.
  • Performance of all special projects as requested by spa management or resort management.
