About The Position

gtechna, a division of Harris Computer, is seeking a Technical Implementation Advisor to be responsible for technical tasks during implementation projects and provide technical installation and implementation support services for new and existing clients. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, team-oriented professional who provides outstanding customer service, has excellent deductive abilities, and thrives on delivering project milestones in a fast-paced environment. Working closely with Project Managers, the Implementation Advisor is customer-facing and plays a key role in effectively translating customer requirements into solution deliverables. This includes performing business process requirements analysis and documentation, as well as system configuration, testing, implementation, training, and support. gtechna's head office is located in Ville Saint-Laurent, Québec. Remote work opportunities are available.

Requirements

  • BA/BSc, related College Technical diploma; or equivalent applicable industry experience
  • Good knowledge of: Network infrastructure
  • Network security
  • MsSQL and PostgreSQL database
  • Working with VMs
  • VPN connectivity
  • English and French written and verbal communication skills, as we have candidate in Quebec and the rest of the Canada.
  • Demonstrable customer care and focus

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Jira & Confluence
  • HTML, AJAX, XML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery knowledge
  • Knowledge on Java/Tomcat implementation (Windows / Linux)
  • Experience using Docker, Ansible, Jenkins, or other similar technologies
  • Experience in the parking industry, enforcement and/or government software implementations
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills both in English and French

Responsibilities

  • Be the primary technician to the configuration of our software suite to meet our client’s requirements
  • Participate in discovery sessions with our clients to define and understand the technical requirements to be implemented
  • Configure our software suite using workflow and business rules to allow clients to conduct their business processes
  • Serve as a customer advocate and facilitate communication with other internal departments
  • Work with cross-functional team members including Project Managers, Developers, Quality Assurance, Technical Support Analysts, and other Implementation Specialists
  • Be adept on the functionality and capabilities of our software suite, making enhancement requests to our product development team when appropriate
  • Assist clients with end-to-end system testing and troubleshooting
  • Document training materials and effectively train the end-users in how to use the software in both remote and classroom-led sessions
