About The Position

The Recycling Sorter ensures proper placement and sorting of materials on the conveyor line. The role involves performing quality control on mixed recyclables, identifying and removing non-conforming items, and completing general warehouse and processing equipment cleanup at the end of each shift. The position is full-time, based in Frisco, Texas, and works Monday through Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The normal work environment may include wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather, vibration, and loud noise. Employees may occasionally be exposed to high or precarious places. The role requires frequent physical activity, including standing for extended periods and frequently lifting or moving up to 40 pounds. Appropriate precautions, including personal protective equipment, are required.

Requirements

• Familiarity with basic personal protective equipment, such as a hard hat, reflective vest, steel-toe boots, ear and eye protection, utility gloves, and arm protection.
• Ability to regularly use hands and fingers to handle or operate objects, tools, or controls, and to reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to frequently sit, walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, speak, and hear.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Vision abilities including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Stand at a station along a conveyor belt and perform quality control on mixed recyclables.
• Quickly identify non-conforming items and safely remove them from a fixed station into designated chutes or bins.
• Perform general warehouse cleanup at the end of each shift.
• Clean processing equipment at the end of each shift.
• Perform other job-related assignments as requested.
