About The Position
The Sorter is responsible for separating various types of commingle or fiber recyclables and ensuring the quality and purity of the material. The role involves operating equipment according to its O&M manual, checking materials for quality and conformity, and removing non-recyclable materials and trash from the line for placement in proper containers. The Sorter must maintain general housekeeping, follow all company safety regulations, and perform other job-related duties as assigned. The position requires a high school education or equivalent, the ability to follow directions, a professional attitude and conduct, and skills in multitasking, interpersonal communication, problem solving, and time management. A high degree of safety awareness and safety discipline is required.
