About The Position

This role blends communication skills with a passion for technology, focusing on connecting people and businesses through technology. The Solutions Engineer is a technical member of the Customer Account Team, acting as a trusted advisor to both customers and the Sales Representative. They work to find the right Splunk solutions for customer business scenarios, tinkering with the technology and translating it into business terms to ensure customer success.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of full-time work experience in any industry.

Responsibilities

  • Become familiar with the Splunk Product line through observatory sessions with tenured Solutions Engineers.
  • Partner with a tenured Solutions Engineer.
  • Shadow customer calls and assist with presentation development, workshops, and/or technical concept proof events.
  • Meet weekly with the team, manager, and mentors to discuss learnings.
  • Hone presentation skills and prepare to present technical concepts to customers and discover their needs.
  • Collaborate with peers in developing a knowledge resource for future Solutions Engineers in training.
  • Polish evangelizing techniques to talk about products and services to customers without being pushy.
  • Meet Splunkers from all walks of life and explore what Splunk has to offer.
