Solutions Engineer - US Commercial, Las Vegas
About The Position
Cisco is seeking a customer-focused Solutions Engineer to provide technical guidance and help customers achieve meaningful outcomes using Cisco’s products and services. The role partners with Account Executives in a pre-sales technical capacity, presenting and demonstrating Cisco solutions, creating bills of materials, and conducting proof-of-concept activities. The Solutions Engineer consults with customers, influences solution design, and aligns Cisco’s capabilities to customer needs. The position covers Enterprise Networking, Data Center, Collaboration, Security, Automation, and Cloud technologies. Candidates must reside or be willing to relocate to Las Vegas, Nevada.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of industry-related experience.
- Cisco product experience or relevant experience with key competitors’ offerings.
- Knowledge of Cisco solutions and networking fundamentals.
- Must reside or be willing to relocate to Las Vegas, Nevada.
Nice To Haves
- CCNP certification preferred; required to obtain within 12 months of hire.
- Customer intimacy skills.
- Pre-sales experience.
- BS/BA in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technology solution consultant to customers and the Cisco account team.
- Leverage Cisco technology, services, and support specialists.
- Collaborate with the Account Executive on account-planning activities.
- Educate customers about Cisco differentiation and create demand.
- Establish a brand preference for Cisco.
- Align Cisco product and service capabilities with customers’ business drivers.
- Provide customer presentations and technical demonstrations.
- Create bills of materials and run proof-of-concept activities.
- Partner with, consult, and influence customers to design solutions that meet their desired outcomes.
